After ups and downs from first semester online journalism students, dedication kept them going. On the 3rd of August 2022 Mrs. Govender-Bateman, Multimedia Journalism 1 and 2 lecturer hosted Online Practical Awards at Tshwane University of Technology (TUT) North Campus.

These awards were awarded to top stories from group 1 and 2 who were doing their practical first semester. Mrs Govender-Bateman highlighted that those recipients ticked being active and quality of work submitted boxes.

*Took tips from the editor.

*Enjoyed his work.

Mrs Govender-Bateman then awarded and thanked Miss Zanele Mbengo, who is a deputy editor and student assistant. She did not only leave a smile on Miss Mbengo’s face but the full house too and could not agree more.
