VAYA is a South African slag for ''Go'' which in this case entails 'Go for your dreams'.

VAYA footwear is strictly a sneaker business. 

When was it established?

The business was established in November 2020.

Who is the founder of the Brand?

The founder of the business is Mr Themba Makamo from Katlehong in the East Rand.

What came to your mind, that led you to take this route? 

Themba has always been a sneaker head and we believe shoes are an important vehicle that everyone needs.

How was the journey at the beginning, and how is it different now?

When we started it was a bit challenging as we did not even have stock. We had to take pre-orders to raise money for the first batch of sneakers.
